Magistrates' Court Representation

If you are charged with an offence your case will first be heard in the Magistrates' Court, even if it later transfers to the Crown Court. However, most minor offences are heard and concluded in the Magistrates' Court.

Mowbray City Advocates has a team of specialist advocates who represent clients in Magistrates' Courts across the region on a daily basis.

Upon instruction your solicitor will guide you through the court process, briefing you fully in relation to the strength of the prosecution's evidence and advising you on the best placed plea for your case.

All of Mowbray City Advocates solicitors are also members of the Court Duty Solicitors Scheme, which means they provide unrepresented defendants with advice and representation free of charge at court under the scheme.
