Police Interviews and Statements

Anyone facing investigation by the police has a right to receive legal representation. Being involved in police enquiries can be a very stressful and, sometimes, lengthy experience. Having someone on your side who knows the system and who can provide early assistance with your defence will often be invaluable. In fact, it can often make the difference between a charge being brought and a decision to take no further action.

Anyone detained or interviewed at a police station is entitled to free and independent legal advice. The Mowbray City Advocates criminal defence team consist of Accredited Duty Solicitors and Police Station Representatives who advise and represent clients on a daily basis at the police station in relation to a wide variety of investigations.

At Mowbray City Advocates, we are able to provide a FREE, independent service whilst you are detained at the police station. Representation is non means tested, so whatever your financial circumstances, we will be able to assist you at no cost to yourself.

We are able to assist at any stage of the enquiry from pre arrest and during the investigation. At the police station, we can attend with you as a voluntary attendee or if you have any representations that you would like put forward regarding your bail conditions.
